Reducing Gender-Based Violence in Fiji

A team of tCL colleagues conducted online and in-person workshops (in tropical paradise Fiji) with 30 faith leaders to promote gender equality and reduce gender-based violence. They utilised the Positive Deviance Approach and the Adaptive Leadership Model to empower faith leaders to enhance their ability to drive change. By doing so, they can encourage local villages and communities to employ the Positive Deviance Approach, leading to sustainable social change. The team takes great pride in its impact. Community leaders' involvement stimulated ongoing engagement in communities and villages afterwards. tCL’ers co-creating this success are: Darine Najem, Dorthe Sorensen, Roberto Saco and Lars Thuesen.
